Atara Ziffer, LCSW-C is the co-founder of The Naomi Center and the Director of the Psychotherapy Department. Atara is a Clinical Social Worker and Social Work Supervisor with 18 years of experience working in the Baltimore Jewish Community. She graduated from the University of Maryland School of Social Work in 2004, earning her Masters of Social Work with a specialization in Families and Children. In 2005 Atara began her professional career at Jewish Community Services, where she worked as a social worker in both the Special Needs and Families and Children Departments. In 2014 Atara founded Empowerment Therapy Services of Maryland, LLC (ETSMD), a private practice providing mental health services modeled to meet the needs of the Baltimore Jewish Community. In this role, Atara worked extensively with children, adults, couples, and families and developed close working relationships with many of the local day schools. At ETSMD Atara provided individual therapy, group therapy, supervision, consultation services, and helped develop and implement targeted mental health programming.
Through her work, Atara recognized the growing need in the community for culturally sensitive services that would be covered by insurance. Atara was driven to expand the service delivery of high quality mental health care to meet the unique and diverse needs of the growing community in an accessible and cost effective manner. In 2021 Atara partnered with Racheli Neuberger to actualize this vision and open the current Naomi Center. As Director of Psychotherapy Services at The Naomi Center, Atara leverages a variety of therapeutic techniques and clinical strategies in training her staff, tailoring the approach to the unique needs of each client. Atara trains her staff to pull from an array of modalities, including Play therapy, Instinctual Trauma Response, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, and more.
Co-founder and Director of Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services
Racheli Neuberger LCSW-C is the co-founder of The Naomi Center and the director of the center’s Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program(PRP). Racheli has been working in the mental health field as a therapist, clinical supervisor as well as a PRP Supervisor for over 15 years. She has experience overseeing, supervising, and training PRP staff to give them the tools they need to empower clients to actualize their therapy goals.
In 2017 she took on a management role overseeing PRP staff including both counselors and a team of supervisors. She was inspired by the program’s focus on empowering clients to improve their day to day functioning at home, school and in their community and dreamed of bringing these vital services to her own community. In 2018 she created The Naomi Center’s PRP program to bring these services to the Baltimore Jewish community, delivered by staff who understand the needs of the clients they serve. In joining forces with Atara Ziffer in 2021, the current Naomi Center came to fruition to offer a full comprehensive line of quality mental health services.

Medical Director
Dr. Adam Margolis, DNP, MSN, APNP, AC-CRNP-PMH is a board certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. As the Medical Director of The Naomi Center, Dr. Margolis oversees all clinical services at the center. He also provides Psychiatric Evaluations, Medication Management, and Health and Wellness Consultations. Dr. Margolis specializes in working with children and adults and embraces each person as a whole person, not just a collection of symptoms. Dr. Margolis specializes in treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, and bipolar disorder. He is a skilled diagnostician and helps individuals identify and treat the root cause of their challenges.
Dr. Margolis’ clinical approach is rooted in functional medicine principles – combining psychiatric medication management with lifestyle counseling in the support of patients pursuing mental health and wellness. He obtained his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN. He also holds a Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City.
Bracha Caine is a licensed clinical social worker who has worked with children and families for the last 17 years. Bracha has worked in out-patient therapy settings, in-patient care (both medical and psychiatric), and the child-welfare arena. She served as the director of a treatment foster care program for several years. She then worked as clinic supervisor for an out-patient program that serves mostly school-aged children in the Baltimore City and County public schools. Bracha has completed considerable training in CBT, and uses that along with other modalities to help her clients find success in navigating the challenges they face.
Leah Malka Pasch is a Certified Clinical Social Worker originally from Miami, Florida. She received her Bachelors of Social Work from Florida State University in 2001 and then her Masters of Social Work at University of Maryland in 2006. She has trained with Dr. Alicia Leiberman, the creator of Child Parent Psychotherapy, an early childhood play based trauma model. She spent 9 years in the public school system providing clinical consultation and therapy for preschool through middle school age children. She serves as the Director of Student Counseling at a local Jewish Day School as well as providing Individual therapy to individuals, children and families at her private practice. She has been a school based program manager at Villa Maria of Catholic Charities and provided clinical supervision at multiple institutions. Leah Malka says the best thing about working with children is the invitation to see the world from their perspective and support them within their family, allowing the whole family unit to grow and become empowered.
Yehuda Weisbord, LCPC, is a licensed clinical professional counselor with over twenty years of experience. He has worked in community mental health and in private practice, with teens and adults. During that time, he has assisted clients in managing a wide range of issues. He has specialized training in supporting clients who have experienced trauma, and in helping clients resolve deeper issues that are underlying their symptoms. He uses a variety of modalities including expressive and dynamic therapies.
Rachel Burk is a Certified Clinical Social Worker hailing from sunny Los Angeles, CA, bringing over a decade of compassionate expertise as a clinician. She earned her Master of Social Work degree at the Wurzweiler School of Social Work (Yeshiva University). Rachel honed her skills with Baltimore County’s “Partnering for Success” program through the National Center for Evidence-Based Practice in Child Welfare in CBT+ and participated in a six-month intensive through the Linehan Institute on DBT skills training and provision. As a dedicated generalist, Rachel provides services to diverse demographics and diagnoses. Since 2016, she has been actively involved as a trainer and supervisor, nurturing the growth of fellow therapists. Rachel is not just a professional; she's a caring guide on your journey to well-being.
Dr. Joseph Berliant, PsyD, is a licensed psychologist, experienced in providing therapy for children, adolescents, and adults, as well as psychological and psychoeducational testing for emotional, behavioral, and academic needs of children.
Dr Berliant has worked with individuals across the lifespan in schools, outpatient, and residential settings and strives to adapt his approach to fit the unique context of each individual's life and background.
Dr. Berliant completed advanced training as a postdoctoral resident with the Behavior Therapy Center of Greater Washington providing cognitive behavioral therapy to adults and youth struggling with anxiety, OCD spectrum disorders, body-focused repetitive behaviors (such as hair pulling and skin picking), and parenting support for disruptive childhood behaviors.
Dr. Berliant is also an avid admirer of sports, the outdoors, and music, and enjoys exploring music through playing the guitar and harmonica in his free time.
Rachel Berman, LCSW-C, is a clinical social worker with over forty years of experience in the field. Rachel’s primary areas of focus are working with adults suffering from anxiety and/or depression, adults recovering from trauma and abuse, as well interpersonal relationship counseling.
Rachel offers a holistic and collaborative approach to assist clients in overcoming their challenges. Rachel is fluent in English, Spanish, and Yiddish.
Shoshanna Boroosan is a licensed social worker. Shoshana completed her social work internship at The Naomi Center and has stayed on staff as a therapist.
Shoshanna is passionate about working with the special needs community and enjoys working with children, teenagers and adults.
Shoshanna takes a strength based, client-centered approach to treatment and works to support clients in better understanding themselves, develop new skills, and move toward meaningful change.
Shoshanna is trained in the "Social Thinking" curriculum and she is skilled at helping her clients develop foundational social skills, increase emotional awareness, and problem solve social challenges.
Shoshana enjoys being in nature, exploring new places, and learning from conversations with friends and family.
Yehuda has experience working with clients of all ages. He worked with children as an RBT therapist in ABA therapy, and he was a teacher, shadow, and private tutor for several years at Talmudical Academy and Torah Institute. He was a school counselor intern, counseling teenagers struggling with mental health and academic challenges. Yehuda also serviced adult clients suffering from opioid use disorder, as an addiction’s counselor.
Yehuda specializes in anxiety and depression and is certified in CBT by the Feeling Good Institute. He specializes in DBT, and TEAM-CBT therapy, and utilizes TEAM’s “tools of therapy, not schools of therapy” approach, with an emphasis on solution focused interventions.
Yehuda enjoys writing and music, and is a published author with Menucha Publishers, in addition to his weekly column in the Mishpacha Junior. Yehuda combines his love for teaching, creativity, and music to create the Y.B Productions children’s audio stories.
Avi Edelman is an advanced Social Work Intern, currently pursuing his Masters in Social Work at the University of Maryland School of Social Work. Avi has years of experience working with younger boys and teens through his time as a camp counselor and as an employee at NCSY. Avi is laidback, open, and non judgmental which allows his clients to achieve their therapeutic goals in a non-pressured manner. Avi’s style helps to empower his clients, providing them with the skills to achieve their goals on their own.
Feige Engelsberg is a mental health counseling intern with a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in special education. She is currently completing a master's degree in mental health counseling. Feige connects easily with adults and children alike, offering empathy, kindness, and a wealth of her life experience and training. Feige has worked successfully with divorced women, single-parent families, blended families, and special needs children. She is passionate, enthusiastic, and a lifelong learner.
Yitzi Feldman is a mental health counseling intern. Yitzi possesses a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Counseling at the University of Baltimore. Yitzi has been an employee of the Naomi Center for multiple years, serving as a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Supervisor and Counselor, along with his work as a Counseling Intern. Yitzi specializes in working with adult males and boys of all ages. Yitzi is also a certified EMT and in his spare time, volunteers as a responder for Hatzalah of Baltimore.
Rivky Flamm LCSW-C is a licensed clinical social worker who received her degree from the University of Maryland and has spent over a decade working with children and families in various settings.
Rivky’s expertise lies in the areas of child development and behavioral therapy, as well as within the realm of grief, bereavement, and crisis. Rivky most recently served as the Director of Clinical Services at multiple non-profits, and spent years as Lead Crisis Responder within the Jewish communities Crisis Response Team.
Rivky is passionate about drawing from her experience in the areas of behavioral therapy and trauma informed care to provide children and families with a wide variety of tools to help each client meet their therapeutic goals.
Tzipora Frager, LCSW-C has over 25 years working with individuals diagnosed with as Mentally Challenged, dual Diagnosis, mental illness, and life cycle issues.
Tzipora has worked as a social worker in the Baltimore City education, State of Md Corrections, Baltimore City and County Family preservation and Treatment Foster care, Johns Hopkins and Saint Joseph Hospital medical Social worker and a clinical Reviewer for Md Physician Health care (Medicare) mental Health.
Shraga Freedman brings years of experience with children, teens, and their families as an educator and assistant principal. He broadened his expertise with his licensure as a Professional Clinical Counselor. He believes in the potential of every client and is passionate about tapping into their diverse strengths. He works with teens and adults on issues such as anxiety, depression, communication issues, ADHD, trauma, and other emotional challenges. He uses various modalities including ACT, CBT, DBT, EMDR, and IFS to help clients gain insight, self-awareness, and the empowerment to embrace life’s challenges.
Yael Friedman, LCSW-C, earned her MSW from the University of Maryland School of Social Work in 2014. She has experience working with children and their families, teenagers, and adults who are dealing with a variety of mood disorders and life transitions. Her special interests include helping people handle anxiety, interpersonal relationships, and the effects of traumatic experiences.
Yael’s main focus is in making her clients feel safe to be themselves during sessions. Through therapist support, self-analysis, joint problem solving, and a little humor, she tries to help her clients see old problems through a new lens. Her goal is for them to feel empowered to make the changes that they want to see.
Yaeli is a licensed social worker who earned her degree through Yeshiva University’s Wurzweiler School of Social Work. Before joining The Naomi Center, Yaeli worked with individuals and groups in residential settings for teenage girls and young women.
Yaeli approaches her work from a place of compassion and believes that every person has the strengths they need to overcome their challenges. Yaeli enjoys working with children and adolescents and leverages evidence-based interventions in therapy settings. She works to develop strong therapeutic relationships with her clients, helping them to comfortably process and explore areas in which they wish to heal.
Pursuing a career in social work was a natural fit for Shira Galay LMSW. Well before obtaining her MSW credentials at the University of Maryland School of Social Work, Shira worked as a certified personal trainer, focusing on women’s physical and emotional well-being. She mentored her clients to make positive decisions in achieving healthy life styles. Shira has also provided a safe haven in her home for troubled teens struggling with family dysfunction.
As a clinical licensed social worker, Shira has experience providing therapy in person as well as via telehealth to children, adolescents and adults. Her clinical experience encompasses working in partial hospitalization programs (PHP), school environment and family settings. Shira has treated a wide variety of mental illnesses including personality disorder, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar, general anxiety, social anxiety, eating disorders, addictions, depression and postpartum depression.
Utilizing her extensive personal and professional experiences and her positive disposition, Shira focuses on individualized guidance to support clients. By helping clients focus on their strenghts and giving them tools to eliminate stressors, Shira’s therapeutic guidance allows them to achieve their goals. For Shira, the most rewarding aspect of working with clients is empowering them to develop positive life skills and improve relationships. She is excited to be a member of the OMHC staff and looks forward to helping clients realize their full potential.
Shira is fluent in English and Hebrew.
Rechy Heinemann, LGPC, is a licensed graduate professional counselor who specializes in working with adolescents and children struggling with anxiety, frustration tolerance, anger management, and social skills at school and/or at home. Rechy primarily employs Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and solution-focused therapy with her clients.
Rechy is experienced working in school settings, intensive outpatient (IOP), and partial hospitalization programs (PHP). Rechy takes a holistic approach to her work with clients, involving parents and family members throughout the process.
Janna Henesch, LCSW-C, is a licensed clinical social worker with twenty years of experience in the field of social work. Since graduating from University of Maryland, School of Social Work in 2004, Janna has supported a diverse population in both inpatient and outpatient settings, working with teens through the older adult population and their families.
Janna begins all clinical support through a Person-Centered lens, and together with her clients develops a tailored therapeutic approach, which incorporates additional modalities that feel most respectful and responsive to her clients. Janna specializes in couples work, emotional regulation, and End-of-Life and hospice care. She is certified in Imago Relationship Therapy (IRT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and may enhance these modalities with her trainings and experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Grief Therapy, and End-of-Life care, to provide support which encompasses the client’s whole self.
Janna uses both her professional training and partnership with her clients, to help guide them towards living life with intention, and a life they feel proud of. Janna continues to feel humbled by her work and considers it an honor to guide individuals and families through their most personal and challenging times. She will laugh with you, cry with you, and offer you two seemingly opposite experiences: You are enough and you are doing your best, AND you have the capacity to grow and engage in new skills.
Janna enjoys balancing her time with family, friends, and various hobbies. She remains a passionate student of dance, music, yoga, and meditation.
Shevy Klein, LMSW is a licensed social worker. Shevy enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults, using evidence-based therapeutic modalities. Shevy works to help clients deepen their understanding of themselves and the work that needs to be done to meet their therapeutic goals.
Shevy takes a compassionate, direct approach to treatment. She is experienced in running individual and group therapy sessions.
Dovid Lefkowitz, LCPC, is a licensed clinical professional counselor with a master’s degree in counseling from Loyola University Maryland. He works with adolescents and adults. Dovid specializes in client-centered therapy helping the client boost their self-esteem. He draws from many modalities, such as CBT and Solution Focused Therapy to help his clients reach realistic and tangible goals.
Basi Lowenthal, LGPC, is a licensed graduate professional counselor who works with adults, teens, children, and families. She comes to the Naomi Center after spending many years dedicated to raising her own family. She takes a systemic approach to mental health and believes that working within the context of a client’s life is the key to understanding their struggles. She trained at the Kennedy Krieger Child and Family Therapy Clinic and assisted in the clinic’s research of behavioral strategies used in parenting. She enjoys working within positive strength-based approaches that build on her clients’ competencies. Basi views therapy as a collaboration with her clients to help them achieve their goals while developing a deeper awareness of themselves and their families. She is committed to creating an accepting and empathetic therapeutic relationship with her clients.
Hudis Meizlik is a licensed Professional Counselor. Hudis worked as a child life specialist for 10 years, helping children, adolescents and families cope with the effects of illness and hospitalization. Hudis taught for several years and has experience working with the special needs population.
Hudis specializes in counseling young children and uses a Child-Centered Play Therapy approach. Hudis is trained in sandplay therapy and speaks Yiddish.
Meira Nazarian, LMSW, is a licensed master social worker who has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. Meira supports clients struggling with mood disorders, trauma, behavioral disorders, general stress, and life transitions.
Meira is trained as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and she draws from this training to support her clients as they work through trauma.
Meira is passionate about helping children work through challenges using the medium of play. She is trained in the Greenspan Floortime Approach of encouraging healthy development. This method taught her to build upon children's inherent strengths by creating a strong, trusting relationship.
Meira is also trained in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, with experience helping new mothers adjust to parenthood. She uses an integrative approach, drawing on cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness-based techniques.
Anne Norris is an advanced social work intern who works with children, adults and families. Incorporating over 24 years as an early childhood and elementary school teacher, she uses an empathy and strengths based approach, utilizing play therapies, nature, mindfulness and art in her work. Anne is passionate about using authenticity, connection, integrity and compassion to empower children and adults to grow using a wide variety of evidence based practices tailored to meet each individual client's needs.
Tammy Reischer is an advanced mental health counseling intern. Tammy possesses a Bachelor's degree in nursing from Johns Hopkins University and is in the process of completing a Master's degree in mental health counseling from Bellevue University.
Tammy is highly-skilled in supporting individuals of all ages as a result of 25+ years of work experience in people-centered professions, including Nursing, Teaching, and Coordinating Youth Programming. While Tammy provides counseling services to individuals of all ages, she specializes in working with children and teenagers. Tammy is adept at creating an empathic, non-judgmental environment for her clients and she excels in leveraging strength-based, skill-building, and goal-oriented therapeutic treatment.
Rachel (Broodo) Rosenberg, LMSW, is a licensed social worker with experience supporting children/adolescents struggling with anxiety, ADHD, and depression. She has certification as a trauma informed therapist and strives to help her clients find their voice and develop self-confidence and the ability to regulate their emotions. Rachel brings her previous work experience as a high-school teacher-mentor, art camp director, PRP counselor, and PRP art-room coordinator to enhance her role as a therapist. She strives to make her clients feel comfortable and cared for, enabling them to explore, share, and discover joy and wellbeing.
Sara Rosskamm, LMSW, is a licensed social worker who has experience working with children, teenagers and adults. Sara has a certificate in trauma informed practice and has experience working with a variety of mental health diagnoses using a strength based approach combined with mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Sara works with her clients to help them develop a better understanding of themselves and empower them to overcome any obstacles they face. Sara’s experiences are enhanced by her work as a psychiatric rehabilitation counselor for over 4 years.
Rabbi Shragi Rothman, LGPC, is a licensed graduate professional counselor who specializes in working with couples, men, and male adolescents. Rabbi Rothman often draws on techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) throughout his work. Rabbi Rothman also serves as a grade advisor and delivers SEL (Social Emotional Learning) lessons to middle school aged boys.
In addition to his role as a therapist, Rabbi Rothman is a middle school rebbe and a head lifeguard at a sleepaway camp.
Shana Sass is working as a clinical therapist at the Naomi Center. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Touro University and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. She works from a person-centered, strength-based approach and believes in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. Through building strong relationships with her clients, she provides a safe and judgment free space to explore life’s challenges and encourage growth. Shana believes in the innate strengths of clients and aims to offer guidance, instill hope, and foster empowerment. Shana is a Certified Grief Educator, and her passion lies in guiding families through loss. Prior to joining the Naomi Center, Shana worked as an intern therapist at Edmonton Jewish Family Services where she focused on grief and bereavement counseling both on an individual basis as well as facilitating grief processing groups.
Devora Schmell, LMSW is a licensed therapist who received her degree from Wurzweiler School of Social Work. Devora has experience providing individual therapy to children and adolescents in both clinic and school settings. She has also facilitated weekly groups to promote social-emotional learning and skill-building. Devora has a strong background in leadership and administration which helps her advocate for her clients and work from a systems-perspective. Devora works collaboratively with her clients to help them reach their goals, deepen their understanding of themselves, and empower them to succeed. She operates from a strength-based perspective, believing that every person has their own unique ability and inner resources they can tap into. She integrates various therapeutic modalities within her work, and specializes in managing symptoms of anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and increasing emotional regulation.
Ina Schwob, LCSW-C, is a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in working with adolescents, adults, and seniors struggling with anxiety, depression, and ADHD. Ina employs therapeutic, self-healing, reflective, and creative techniques, empowering clients to become more in touch with their unique inner strengths and capabilities.
Ina is also a certified trauma therapist, specializing in treating victims of trauma and abuse. She uses a strength-based approach, affording clients an opportunity to explore their past in a safe, non-threatening environment, and helping them discover a healthy and hopeful future.
Eli Solomon is an advanced Social Work intern with a wealth of experience in group facilitation and nearly 10 years of teaching background. Drawing on skills and sensitivities acquired over the years,
Eli is dedicated to fostering a warm and safe environment in therapeutic settings. Specializing in building individuals up, Eli's focus is on helping clients believe in themselves and unlocking their full
potential. With a passion for creating a positive and empowering space, Eli is committed to supporting clients on their journey towards personal growth and self-discovery.
Sara Sosne, LMSW, is a licensed master social worker who has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. Sara specializes in supporting clients struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, personality disorders, and emotional dysregulation.
Sara employs a direct and client-centered approach in working with her clients to develop individual goals. She pairs her insightful and compassionate personality with evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Art Therapy and Play Therapy, to help clients explore their behaviors and motivations while ensuring they develop the tools to handle life's various challenges. Sara is also trained as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and she uses this training to help support her clients who are working through trauma.
Sara's clinical experience and perspective is enhanced by 5+ years of teaching middle school and high school girls in the Baltimore community.
Sarah is a licensed Professional Counselor who earned her degree from Bellevue University. For the past decade, Sarah has been involved in preschool and elementary education with a Masters in Elementary Education from George Washington University.
Sarah approaches her practice from a strength-based perspective. She aims to partner with her clients in a way that helps them to discover the tools and resources they hold within, in order to bring about the change and healing they desire. Sarah draws from a diverse set of methods to meet the needs of each individual client, such as CBT, DBT, art, narrative therapy, IFS and somatic work. She works with clients of all ages.
Aliza Statman is a licensed graduate professional counselor. She graduated from Loyola College with an M.Ed in School Counseling in 2003. Aliza worked as a school counselor in Baltimore City Public Schools for 16 years, working with students individually and in groups, supporting students and their families with various mental health, personal and behavioral challenges.
Aliza joined the Naomi Center in 2022 and has enjoyed working with children who are experiencing various challenges. Aliza takes a strength based approach and incorporates mindfulness and CBT in a lot of her work. Aliza’s warm and empathic nature allows her to connect and build relationships with children, allowing real change to occur.
Rivka Strum is a second-year LMFT/ LCPC intern, who enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults, using evidence-based therapeutic modalities. Rivka has over ten years of experience teaching elementary-age students and utilizes these skills of connection, communication, and devotion in her therapy sessions. Rivka values the importance of engaging with clients to enhance their capacity for introspection, reflection, and self-awareness to better navigate their past, present, and future.
Yisroel’s clinical social work experience includes working with children, teens, and adults experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, and emotion regulation challenges. Yisroel is especially drawn to the evidence-based approaches of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Prior to joining The Naomi Center, Yisroel worked as an administrator and social work case manager at a Baltimore-based pediatric speech, occupational, and physical therapy clinic, offering him experience with key issues of child development such as communication skills, sensory integration, executive functioning, and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Yisroel holds many interests, including design, writing, and medicine, and has been writing and presenting Torah perspectives on contemporary mental health issues since 2017.
Sara Rosskamm LMSW, CPRP is a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Supervisor/Specialist with years of PRP experience. She oversees PRP staff, offering support, training and guidance. Sara is both a Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner( CPRP) as well as a licensed social worker with a Masters in Social Work from Wurzweiler School of Social Work, awarded with the “Excellence in Practice” upon her graduation. “ The Naomi Center strives to provide quality mental health care to the Baltimore Jewish community, my work is an extension of their values.”

Yitzi Feldman is a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor and Supervisor at The Naomi Center, specializing in working with boys, teens and men. Yitzi is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Counseling at University of Baltimore with an undergraduate degree in Psychology. Yitzi provides big brother support and works with clients on social skills as well as assisting adults with shopping, bills, and finding jobs.
Mindy Schreiber is the PRP Intake Coordinator at The Naomi Center. She has also been a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor at the center for over a year. Mindy is currently pursuing a Masters in Social Work from Walden University. Mindy works with girls, teens, adults and older adults alike. As the Intake Coordinator she meets with parents before their child begins the PRP service. Together they explore the client's strengths as well as challenges and formulate a rehabilitation plan that will inform the work of the child with their Rehabilitation Counselor.
I am in touch with my clients therapists and collaborate so we are all on the same page. I like to approach problems with an open mind and try to take a client centered approach. When I am with clients I get to be an extra support in their life and help them reach their full potential.
Chana Freedman has been working as a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor at The Naomi Center for almost a year. Chana works with adult clients and assists them in achieving daily life skills. Chana has experience working in ABA therapies and is a treasured staff member at Bnos Yisroel of Baltimore. Chana has a gentle approach and an open mind, creating a safe space for her clients to express challenges and master their goals. Chana helps her clients budget, shop, plan, and organize their households and empower them to reach parenting and individual goals. In addition, she has assisted clients with obtaining entitlement benefits, housing and employment.
Ruthie Wolman has been working as a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor at The Naomi Center for over three years. In addition, Ruthie is a certified life coach, working with adult clients for over twenty years. Ruthie helps her clients achieve daily goals and empowers them to become their best self. Ruthie assists clients in achieving their goals through building skills in the following areas to name a few: communication, organizational, parenting, emotion regulation, employment and basic life skills. Ruthie is talented when it comes to connecting with and empowering her clients to achieve their potential and is a steady source of support in their lives. She brings a tremendous wisdom and empathy to her work and sees her clients achieve life changing results.
Chana Miriam Altshuler is a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor at The Naomi Center for over three years specializing in working with teen girls. She brings her expertise as a clinical exercise physiologist/ certified personal trainer/group fitness instructor to assist clients in reaching fitness and wellness goals. She also brings to her role her experience as a JTAP volunteer as a non-judging address for teens to feel comfortable expressing who they are and their personal goals.

Shana Birnbaum has been working as a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor at The Naomi Center for over a year. Shana received a Bachelor's in Behavioral Science Human Services and is currently pursuing a Masters in Social Work at Louisiana State University. Shana is currently a social Work intern at Bnos Yisroel of Baltimore. Shana has worked with children and adolescents from a wide spectrum of backgrounds in both group and individual settings for several years in many types of environments including classroom, camp, mentorship, and team building.
Yakira is a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor at The Naomi Center. Yakira is currently working towards her undergraduate in Psychology through WITS. Yakira has years of experience working with girls as a camp counselor and guiding girls as a JEP Big Sister. Yakira has a soft, warm, and non judgmental demeanor. Sima has been working as a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor at The Naomi Center for over six months. Sima has an Undergraduate Degree in Psychology from Maalot/WITS and is starting a Masters in Social Work in the fall. Sima has experience working with younger girls and teens through her time as a camp counselor. Sima is fun, open, and easy to connect with. Chaya Dobin has been working as a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor at The Naomi Center for over a year. Chaya is pursuing a Masters in Social Work. Chaya was a Madricha in Israel and has years of experience with kids and teens. Chaya works with adults, teens, and kids. Avi Edelman is an advanced Social Work Intern, currently pursuing his Masters in Social Work at the University of Maryland School of Social Work. Avi has years of experience working with younger boys and teens through his time as a camp counselor and as an employee at NCSY. Avi is laidback, open, and non judgmental which allows his clients to achieve their therapeutic goals in a non-pressured manner. Avi’s style helps to empower his clients, providing them with the skills to achieve their goals on their own.
Binyamin Edelstein is a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor at The Naomi Center. Before working at the Naomi Center, Binyamin spent time tutoring students in multiple institutions, working both with individuals as well as with small groups. Binyamin enjoys working with all different types of people, and focuses on creating a fun, accepting, and growing environment for all of his clients.
Baruch has experience working with kids as a counselor and head counselor in summer camps, tutoring, and working with teenagers in a Yeshiva setting as a dorm counselor and mentor. Baruch is currently pusrsuing a MSW at Wurzweiler School of Social Work. Baruch's strengths include listening, one on one connecting, and showing empathy.

Yehoshua Jakobovits began working as a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor at The Naomi Center in August 2023. Prior to his work at the Naomi Center, Yehoshua was a talented rebbe and tutor who has the ability and passion to support kids with their educational, emotional, and aspirational goals. Working closely with his clients’ therapists allows him to expand and build upon their therapeutic goals. He has years of experience working with boys and young men in individual and group settings.
